I look forward to getting to know you and answering all of your immigration questions.
We call these appointments “Immigration Assessments.”
You can schedule your appointment by calling 214-431-5237.
You can also schedule your appointment online.
Immigration assessments are offered in my office in Plano, Texas.
I also offer appointments via the telephone and Skype.
Telephone and Skype immigration assessments are just like a regular office appointment, except for the fact that they occur over the telephone or online. The same fee applies and must be paid in advance.
You will pay a flat fee of $150 for your immigration assessment.
For your convenience, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
What happens during My Immigration Assessment?
During your immigration assessment, we dig deep.
I carefully listen, answer questions, help you set appropriate goals, and identify the results you want.
Then, I strategize your case, evaluating your eligibility for immigration benefits and your options as well as the time it will take you to get to where you want to be.
By the end of the Immigration Assessment, you will know whether you can achieve your immigration goals, how to go about attaining those goals, how long your case will take, and how much it will cost.
Your immigration assessment is confidential and subject to the attorney-client privilege.
At the end of your immigration assessment, I will let you know if I am willing to represent you. If so, I will quote you a fee in writing. I will also let you know how long I expect your case to take and what the next step will be.
If you become a client, you will receive a homework package and informational material about your case.
How Much Will My Case Cost?
If you want a quick answer to how much it will cost to reunite your family, get a Green card, invest in a U.S.-based business, or meet another immigration goal, that’s normal.
Perhaps asking how much “it” will cost isn’t the right question.
Or, at least, it’s not the right first question.
The right first question is: What does my family or business need?
Followed by: What’s the best way to meet that need?
Once you establish what you need and the best way to attain that goal during an Immigration Assessment, I will usually quote you a fixed flat fee.
I use fixed fee billing in most matters so you will know exactly how much to pay.
In most cases, I am able to offer you a choice of payment plans, so you get to choose how and when your fee is paid.
There is no hourly billing which can run out of control and cause upset. You’ll always know what to expect and will never be surprised by fees.
So please don’t ask me how much “it” will cost until we go through the Immigration Assessment to determine what you actually need.
Immigration lawyer fees are based on the complexity of your case, the legal expertise required, and the value conveyed. Quoting fees over the phone or on a website would be irresponsible and most likely inaccurate.
Do You Offer Free Consultations?
We do not offer free consultations. However, we do offer Immigration Assessments at a discounted fee of just $150.
If, after the Immigration Assessment, we choose to work together, the $150 fee will be applied to your legal fee.
I can tell you this – most of our immigration services for families cost between $2,000 and $4,000. We offer reduced rates to current and returning clients.
Can you give me legal advice through E-mail?
We do not provide legal advice or immigration assessments via E-mail.
E-mail is not a secure form of communication and should not be used to discuss sensitive legal matters.
How long will my Immigration Assessment last?
Your initial consultation will last last up to one hour.
Will my Immigration Assessment fee be refunded?
Refunds requested 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of the appointment will be honored. No refunds will be given once the Immigration Assessment has taken place.
Will my Immigration Assessment fee be credited toward my case?
If we decide to work together, we will credit your Immigration Assessment fee toward your initial legal fee payment so long as your initial fee payment is made within 30 days of your appointment.
How do you choose a lawyer, if not based on price?
Ask for referrals from friends and family. Ask not just how much the attorney cost but how easy they were to communicate with.
Search for an attorney on www.ailalawyer.com. AILA is the only legal association in the United States for immigration attorneys.
Ask questions. During your initial consultation with an attorney, ask not just how much their services cost but HOW they charge. Not all immigration lawyers offer flat fee billing and payment plans.
You Can Afford an Immigration Lawyer
If you have a job or other source of income and are careful with your money, you can afford an immigration lawyer.
With all of the options available for fixed fees and payment plans, money is not a reason to go it alone.
